Brown Sugar & Bacon Crackers

These are an easier spin of a very southern bite that dates back to the 50s and 60s- Bacon Belts. We love any recipe where bacon is the center of attention! Buttery crackers and salty bacon with a hint of sweetness make these bite-sized snacks so addictive! They do take time to bake but you do not need to serve them hot-they’re perfect at room temperature. Also the perfect bite to pair with a Bloody Mary 💫

2 tablespoons brown sugar
24 club crackers
Rosemary or thyme minced
8 pieces of thin sliced bacon
A few cracks of black pepper

Preheat oven to 275

Cut bacon into thirds or fourths - the bacon should be about the same size as the cracker.

Put a wire rack on a baking sheet and place crackers on top. Sprinkle crackers with brown sugar and then lay one piece bacon on top. Sprinkle brown sugar and pepper on top bacon. Add minced rosemary or thyme on top if using.

Bake for one hour.
