Freezer Martinis

We have a few party tricks up our sleeve, but batching out our cocktails before guests arrive might be one of our best ones. No host wants to play bartender for 30 minutes, and no guest wants to wait 30 minutes for a cocktail. Let’s get this party started! For our dinner party we chose to batch out some martinis, because they always make people feel fun and fancy. Did you know that you can batch out your martinis days, weeks, in advance? When you pull them out of the freezer they’ll be the iciest coldest most delicious martinis ever! It’s true. Whip up a batch of whatever martinis you like. We included our favorite martini recipe below, which Alston’s father is infamous for. He would want us to remind you to make sure you chill your glasses before serving. THE DANTINI
Makes 8 cocktails

Combine in a pitcher filled with ice:
18 oz. gin
6 oz. vodka
4 oz dry vermouth
2 oz olive juice

Strain into a mason jar, tighten the lid, give a shake and place in the freezer for a few hours, days or weeks.

Remove from the freezer about 15 minutes before guest arrive and shake vigorously in mason jar for 20 seconds. You can pour it into a martini pitcher, cocktail shaker or pour directly from mason jar. Pour into chilled glasses and drop in olives. Remember- 1 or 3 olives- NEVER 2.
