Grilled White Pizza with Prosciutto and Arugula
Pizza on the grill on a warm summer evening- now that’s amore. Pizza was actually the number one thing we got requests about how to grill. For us, the key is to use a pizza stone on the grill. Prep your pizza inside on a very well floured piece of parchment paper and slide it right onto the grill.
*we have strong beliefs that life should be easy and fun, therefore we often buy premise dough from the grocery or our local pizza shop - thanks you @greenwichpizza - if you want to make it yourself we highly recommend @smittenkitchens lazy pizza dough)
1 ball of pizza dough
12 oz mozzarella, thinly sliced
6 pieces prosciutto
Truffle oil
Handful of arugula
Balsamic Glaze
Preheat your outdoor grill to high with a pizza stone on the grill(500-550 degrees).
Roll out your dough on a heavily floured piece of parchment paper until the dough is about 1/8 inch thick. Top with mozzarella and prosciutto. Once the grill is heated, slide the pizza from the parchment paper to the pizza stone. Close the top and grill for 3-7 minutes, depending on desired crispy ness.
Remove the pizza stone from the grill (caution, it’s hot!) and drizzle the top of the pizza with white truffle oil and sprinkle with handfuls of arugula. You can top with balsamic glaze and more flaky salt.
Guests realllllly love this served and a summer appetizer ❣️ You can prep the pizza in advance and just throw it on the grill once people are over and glasses have been filled.
