We feel sure you have heard about butter boards by now- @justinesnacks made the concept a viral craze this fall. We love the concept (originally inspired by @jm) and made our own version back in June during our Summer Solstice series. One of the most fun things about this trend has been watching all of the board spin offs- it’s such a beautiful, causal and inviting way to entertain with food! This board is based off of an appetizer that Leigh had in London. If you have never had Labneh, the time is now! Labneh is a soft Middle Eastern cheese made from strained yogurt. You can find in most grocery stores. It has a zippy, rich flavor and is packed with protein and probiotics. This is our favorite way to serve it, but topping options are endless!

Labneh
Sprinkling of:
Za’atar (a middle eastern spice blend that you can find in the spice section)
Toasted sesame seeds
Pitted kalamata or green olives, torn
Toasted, salted pistachios
Drizzle of Olive oil
Drizzle of Honey
Toasted Naan or Pita Bread

Mix a teaspoon or so of the Za’atar spice and a drizzle of olive oil into the Labneh. Thickly spread it onto a large board. Then top with rows of Za’atar, sesame seeds, pistachios and olives. Drizzle with olive oil and honey. Serve with toasted naan or pita.
