Roast Beef & Havarti Party Pretzel Sandwiches

ROAST BEEF & HAVARTI PARTY PRETZEL SANDWICHES 💫 It isn’t new news that we love party sandwiches for entertaining, because making one giant sandwich on connected buns is so much easier than making individual ones, and we especially love them for tailgating and picnics as they are so easy to transport! These have a a tangy horseradish mayo, pickled red onions and a pretzel bun that takes them to the next level! Don’t forget to save the tray and bag they come in- you will want to use that for easy packing!

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoon Dijon mustard

2 teaspoon horseradish

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 package pretzel sliders (9 buns)

3/4 lb thinly-sliced roast beef

1/2 cup picked red onions (recipe below)

4 slices havarti cheese

1/2 cup arugula

Whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, horseradish and kosher salt, and spread the mixture on both sides of the pretzel buns. Layer on roast beef, pickled onions, havarti cheese and arugula. Place the top on and cut into individual sandwiches.

Quick pickled red onions:

1 small red onion

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon kosher salt

Peel onion and cut it in half. Very thinly slice by hand or on a mandolin.

Whisk together vinegar, water and salt and pour over onions. Let sit for at least ten minutes, but can be stored in fridge for weeks. They make everything better!
