Turkey Burgers
Fire up that grill one more time because we are closing out our favorite grilling recipes with a good one! Often turkey burgers are filled with breadcrumbs and eggs for binding, but we find that makes them tough and dry. We promise tender and flavorful burgers only with this recipe!
Makes 4 burgers
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 scallions, white and light green parts, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 a teaspoon of pepper
1 1/2 pounds of ground turkey (dark meat)
1 cup grated Gruyere
Chill at least one hour in the fridge before grilling.
Combine Mayo, Dijon, scallions, garlic, salt and pepper to make an aioli. Combine the aioli with the ground turkey meat and grated Gruyere and gently fold ingredients together with a spatula.
Wet hands, and then form meat into four patties, about one inch thick. Place patties on a tray and refrigerate for at least one hour before grilling.
Preheat grill to medium heat. Brush the grill grates with a paper towel dampened with avocado oil.
Remove the patties from the fridge and place directly on the grill. Close the grill and cook 7 min on the first side. Flip the burgers and cook 5 minutes on the second side.
