Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

School started yesterday and since there is nothing like coming home from school to warm-from-the-oven cookies, we felt this was the perfect time to share this recipe. One of our dear friends is known for her chocolate chip cookies, and she shared this recipe with us. Now we can all be known for our chocolate chip cookies💫

Makes 3 dozen

2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.

Using a hand or stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar on high for 3-5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, and mix until combined. Slowly add flour, baking soda and salt on low until combined. Fold in chocolate chips with a spatula.

Using a medium cookie scoop, or two spoons, scoop cookie dough into 1.5 inch balls on a parchment lined baking sheet. Makes 4 dozen!

Cook for 8-10 minutes (9 minutes was perfect for us). Remove to a cooling rack.
