Truffled Popcorn

If you aren’t popping your own popcorn at home, we hope that we can convince you to start! This truffle popcorn is the perfect recipe to have on hand for movie nights at home and award night celebrations at home!

Makes about 10 cups

2 Tablespoons of avocado oil
2 Tablespoons white truffle oil
4 Tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
1/2 teaspoon truffle salt
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tablespoon minced parsley
Fresh ground pepper

Heat the avocado oil and white truffle oil in a large pot over medium heat for about two minutes until very hot and shimmering. Add the butter, popcorn kernels, salt and swirl the pot to evenly coat the kernels in the oil and butter as it melts.

Once the butter has melted, cover the pot with a tight fitting lid and cook, shaking the pot occasionally while still covered, until there are three second long pauses between kernel popping‘s, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat, cracked the lid slightly to allow steam to escape, and let sit with the lid cracked for an additional minute.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, truffle salt, black pepper and parsley over the popcorn, tossing until all of the popcorn is well coated. Let the popcorn cool to room temperature before serving.
